During product develpment, our company aimed to eliminate the problems that regularly occur during laying of Grabo floorings on new or existing underlays.
The GraboRex T underlay can be positioned on many surfaces, including:
new and old cement underlays, vinyl coverings, metal plate, surfaces contaminated with oil or paint or wet underlays.
It can be used also in the case of asphalt underlays.
Benefits of product:
It provides a continuous and stabilized based which resist moisture.
It reduces the flooring laying time.
It allows the laying of a new temporary flooring on the existing flooring without removing the old glue.
Excellent noise reduction-sound insulation effect can be ensured with the use of GraboRex 40
Typical areas where the use of GraboRex T is recommended:
Levelled concrete underlays, where the construction moisture has not been fully removed (max. 5 CM% moisture content)
Old concrete underlays, which do not contain a proper moisture barrier
Old, well-fixed coverings, if a temporary covering is used
Do NOT use GraboRex T product:
In areas exposed to traffic of heavy wheeled equipment and fork-lift trucks.
On wooden bases (underlay), which do not properly breathe.
On underlays, which are exposed to hydrostatic pressure.
On underlays, which contain an efficient moisture barrier, but exceed 97% relative moisture and on underlays where there is no moisture barrier and the relative moisture exceeds 92%.
In the case of magnesite estrich, the use of the product must be avoided.
Laying
The underlay must be properly smooth and flat. Levelling of the underlay is necessary before laying, if the surface is not even.
The product must be laid with its top side upwards, without gluing, and must be folded up to ca. 5-10 cm along the walls. The roll ends must be spliced and fixed on the back (from above) with an adhesive tape. The underlay must be flatly laid, and it is advisable to wait for 24 hours before installation.
The covering to be superimposed must be laid in the opposite direction without gluing. It must be glued only in scattered points for stabilization against dislocation.
The Grabo PVC floorings must be glued on the underlay with a pressure-sensitive glue (e.g. Ceresit K 188 E, Uzin KE 2000Si, Mapei Ultrabond V4SP) by using a pressure-sensitive or contact gluing method, as the surface of Graborex is not absorbing.
